I honestly am out of ideas given my limited knowledge of routers and internet so was hoping someone here might bea ble to talk me through the troubleshooting process so I don't have to wait an hour for every GB patch that comes out for R6 or any other game I always thought a wired connection was supposed to be faster than wireless but I seem to be the exception to the rule Speedtest came up with much the same values, around 6MB down and 0.3 up but download speeds on my PC didn't change a bit so can't be that. Patch and content distribution is a solved problem. But ESO isn't twice as slow or 10x slower, it's 1000x slower. The same computer, using the same FIOS Internet connection, can download both World of Warcraft and Steam updates at 18MB/sec (that's my max connection speed).

So I apologise in advance if this topic has been brought up and dealt with a million times, but going from Virgin Fibre Optic to Plusnet non fibre has been quite a difficult transition for me.
