I've tried today to roll back all Updates since the Problem has started! Would be very interesting if you have new informations from microsoft.
#Vmware tools for windows server 2012 update
They recommended we disable the Sophos Update Service as there were application error in the application event log regarding this. They are point to the application level or something with the NIC team and or virtual NICs.Ħ. Called and opened a ticket with MS, their trouble shooting is ongoing.ĥ. #Vmware tools for windows server 2012 drivers
Updating the host firmware and drivers via Service Pack for Proliant.Ģ. What we have tried this far with little success is:ġ. All servers are up to date with Windows Updates. All Hyper-V servers are being backed up by Alvaro.ħ. Access to the files and folders slowly degrades and then eventually become completely inaccessible requiring a server reboot.Ħ. I am tagging into this thread because we too are plagued with this issue and we've got a lot of pissed off clients because of it. No way to reboot without just restarting power to the vm. I have not this problem with Windows server 2016 & Windows server 2008. I Have 1 Windows Server 2016 & 1 Windows Server 2008 & 4 Windows Server 2012 R2 On ESXi 6.0Īlso All Windows Server 2012 R2 Are Update and SEP 14.0 is installed on them.Īll Windows Server 2012 R2 Freezes randomly week to week !!! Without any event logs/dump files to go by, I am at a loss here. Pretty much concluded that it was not vmware's side and it must to at the OS level. I've reached out to vmware regarding this, they did a couple of remote sessions and This is not just related to one esx host as we've move the vm to different hosts and still get the same result. That time frame in the system or application logs. When the server has been reset, everything looks fine, I open event viewer and see nothing for

I have also tried opening remote process explorer from another server but no luck connecting. To the VM, I've tried restarting guest OS with no luck. No way to reboot without just resetting power Never stops responding to pings, but I can not RDP it and when I open console I cannot interact with the console (ctrl alt insert is not responsive). I have a VM that freezes from time to time.

Just sharing this information because we've been looking for an answer as well. The only thing all servers have in common is Symantec Endpoint Protection version.
